Evolve was born from a longing to be part of a group that were all about being nice to each other, but not a God centric religion. As someone who understands the universe and eloution the whole idea of religion feels a bit silly and out of date. You can call yourself an atheist, but that feels so kind of religion-hating anti-Christ or devil! We just want to have a banner for good people doing kind things and living a kind and considerate life…giving back, being kind, love each other and see the good in this life we have that is short and fleeting.

We believe in good morals and evolution rather than the more traditional misconception that the world was made by a god in seven days (six actually, because he rested on the sabbath!). In today’s informed and educated world you will find it impossible to disprove that the human race has evolved from the Big Bang, dinosaurs and cavemen

We believe our belief set is based around being nice and genuinely kind. We are not interested in freedom fighters, separatists or fanatical God-fearing folk.

We believe in science and the actual proof that the world was created by the Big Bang and not by a God. This sounds like a very simple view and it is, this is exactly how we want it to be and it most certainly does not mean that we hate any person from any other religious denomination.

The group was simply created by two atheists who wanted to be more than just non-believers.

We think it is flabbergasting that in today’s modern world, people still need to believe in an afterlife. Do they need solace and comfort for this? Do they need to think that their life is more than just 80 odd years of living? Or do they just believe in a better place than the earth they currently inhabit?

We believe when you die your heart stops and your soul leaves your body, you are simply dead. No more, no less. If you have been lucky to have an enjoyable, loving and fulfilling life then this should not be seen as upsetting. This is not designed as a shock tactic, these are simply the facts as we see them.

We do not have a problem with celebrating family fun days that bring everyone together like Christmas, Easter, Ramadan and Halloween. These are more seen as a reason for socialising now than their original ‘purpose’ anyway.

In essence, if you wish to live a good wholesome existence and make the most of the years we have on this planet being kind to other people and kind to yourself, you are in the right place and we will welcome you into our group. We believe that everyone should tread lightly on this world and let others be happy doing whatever it is that they want to do without being judged or criticised for doing it.

What is it that makes intelligent people believe in an after life, water into wine and that the world was created in six days? It’s out of date and we were looking for something more inline with evolution. The foundation of religion and living a morally upstanding life is great but the whole god part is just antiquated. You can’t disprove any of the 3000+ gods that exist through the worlds religions but evolution, the donors and cavemen has physical and scientific proof. The general morals purveyed by Christianity are positive based on the familiar values of compassion, forgiveness, humility, integrity, and justice. We whole heartedly agree with this, it’s just the god part we question, reject, revoke, laugh at!! It’s a bit far fetched. It’s blind faith. If you want to be a Christian, a Muslim or a Buddhist, fill your boots it’s just not for us. We are not here to poo poo anyone’s faith, live and let live. We think the intelligent, the educated, understand how evolution works. We have one life, there is no after life, no possy of virgins waiting for us in the after life. We don’t come back as a dog for a second chance at getting things right. This is it, make the most of it. Love and laugh because today could be your last day on this earth! Tomorrow is not guaranteed.
